Methylene blue has been used in aquariums for years as a disinfectant with therapeutic properties that are effective in treating or preventing diseases in aquariums. It is an antiseptic with weak fungicidal and bactericidal action.
DOSAGE In a 10-second bath in a plastic container, use 8 ml per 3.8 liters, or 2 ml per liter. As an alternative to Malachite Green, it can be used for aquariums housing species sensitive to fungi and certain parasites such as Ich, Chilodonella and Costia.
OR 2ml for 10 Liters, for treatment in an aquarium 1-Increase aeration (bubbler, discharge, etc.), 2-Gradually increase the temperature to 28°, 3-Leave to act for the necessary time (depending on the need), 4-Change the water up to 50% (then top up with clean water with the same characteristics), 5-Restart the filter(s), 6-Gradually return to the initial temperature, 7-Repeat the procedure if necessary.
